Moments ago, President Hosnai Mubarak made speech directed at the crowd in Tahrir Square.
Through it all, he did not say that he would step down. The demonstrators in Tahrir Square reacted with rage. They immediately began shouting "get out, get out!" The protesters have said that, yes, this is about Mubarak and that he needs to understand that.
The constitutional committees referred to by Mubarak are not as representative as he implied. According to news sources (Anderson Cooper and CNN), these are staffed by judicial figures who are in line with the Mubarak administration. They have not included to Mohammed ElBaradai or other prominent members of the opposition.
The crowds are furious and even greater protests are expected for tomorrow. Members of the crowd have been reported leaving Tahrir Square with the intention of making their way through the military checkpoints to the presidential palace, others for the Egyptian state television headquarters.
Clearly, this is not the end. Tomorrow will be important.
