White House press conferance on Egypt

Robert Gibbs, White House press secretary, said that "We have the beginnings of a process" towards meaningful change in Egypt.  The White House is optimistic that it will work.

On the Muslim Brotherhood:
-Those involved in the Egyptian constitutional process will not be determined by the US.
-Don't believe everything you've heard about a group of people to be representative of the entire group.
-Democracy is not one group hijacking power from another group that they didn't feel was representing their rights.
-The US will be a partner to a government that does represent a wide spectrum of the Egyptian people and hope that the new government will respect the treaties and obligations signed by Egypt.
